More Islands allowed to resume normal commercial activity as of May 18th, 2020…
The Bahamas is making progress to re-opening the country by granting smaller islands permission to resume normal daily operations. The Prime Minister announced on Sunday, May 17th, 2020 thru his address to the Nation that ANDROS, ABACO, CAT ISLAND and LONG ISLAND may resume normal commercial activity as of May 18th, 2020. These islands join the other islands which are Mayaguana, Rum Cay, Inagua, Ragged Island, Crooked Island and Acklins that were granted permission on May 4th, 2020. Travel between these islands is also now permitted. Weekday curfews and weekend lock downs still apply to these island. It is mandatory for all persons to wear a mask whenever leaving their home and practice social distancing.
